So the first Burns Lake Bridging to Employment Bahlats went off really well. A good, memorable time was had by all. Thank you to my bro, Eugene Patrick (Losah), for officiating the ceremony, Nancy Williams for providing the guidance and knowledge. To my boss Marlaena Mann for braving the bitter weather this morning to be here for these celebrations and, especially, for her incredible patience and yodaness during those times when I was down for the count. Thank you to my sister-in-law Cindy Lowley-Patrick for stepping in when I needed help the most. Thank you also to the participants themselves who did an amazing job with the food, and to the new participants who stepped up and served everyone without reservation. A big thank you also to Brianna Adolph, without whom Id be lost. To all the Hereditary Chiefs who showed up and taught the class some valuable lessons, a big huge thank you. To Bertha Tom for allowing us the use of the facilities, and to LBN, Monty Palmantier for their incredible contributions that kept us afloat. Congratulations to the first Bridging... class, we all wish you the best of luck. And to the new Bridging... class, your up, you have a lot to live up to here. Dont be late tomorrow morning.
