So the metabolism of some forms of life can change over time to adapt to changes in its environment like mosquitoes to insecticides and microbes to antibiotics. Does this not mean that something in the physiology and anatomy of the organism changed too? These changes must have had less than a hundred years to take place. What if it had a hundred thousand years? Is that enough time to grow a wing? Or lose a tail? Or become smarter, or become more erect?
