So the question is why use essential oils? The thing is it took me 6 years to really consider this, why you ask? Because Im a Nurse Practitioner, I believe in medicine!! But after being a nurse practitioner for almost five years I see the detriment of overuse of medication. Tylenol, Ibuprofen, sleep aids, and multiple health concerns treating symptoms and not the cause. I have decided to try every day to expose my family to less carcinogens and lead a healthier life and that includes reducing exposure to additives and preservatives. It is amazing what things we are exposed to in seemingly benign things like household cleaners, over the counter medication, and beauty products. The other thing was, our family isnt sick what use do I have for oils? Ill tell you that I am blown away by all the uses and functions of essential oils. I use the oils to heal an infected bug bite, to reduce the symptoms of a viral infection, to fall asleep easier, to make my house smell good, to clean my house, to treat my sons psoriasis, and to improve our health in general.
