So, the shoot is for a commercial for a Chicago-based financial services/private equity company. They want to tell the story of how they do business using the story of how a high-end artisanal American company, David Stine Woodworking, does business: every client is an absolute individual; each piece is designed just for that client; we are in it for the long-term; its not a business transaction its a relationship; great care is taken at every step of the way; its not just furniture its for life; etc. Oskar and Willa play the children of the client (played by Ben Goetten) and his wife (played by the incomparable Amber Burton Blackorby. Last night was the dinner scene on the new table (three+ hours of shooting); today is all Dave Stine, in the woods, at the saw mill, in the shop, meeting with the client, building the piece, etc. Super fun, but exhausting.
