... So there I was earlier this week, shopping for a car. I went to a large dealership in Pierre (Becks) and asked about a 2002 Monte Carlo SS. It looked pretty nice! Salesman came out and it was a younger kid, we go to check it out and hes telling me how someone was just driving it before I got there and were dealing on it, and how he needed my cell phone because if they bought it while I was test driving it it would be theirs, etc... We get to the car and he unlocks it, than tries to start it. Right away I notice about 1/8th of an inch of dust sitting on this car and I can see some of the damages, the trim is loose, a headlight has a part broken in it, small dents and scratches. Than he proceeds to tell me how it was driven by a young woman who was going to school, and her father kept her in line and it was this great car that had nothing wrong with it! He turns it over and you hear this loud Pop! He says Thats weird! and turns it over again. It fired up, but a cloud of blue smoke immediately comes out of the exhaust and it sits there smoking! Im thinking Sure someone was there and had it fired up earlier! I did take it for a short drive and right away electronics start shutting down, and I lose the turn signals, so I take it straight back and give the keys back! Theres that young salesman still trying to rope me in and push this piece of crap at me! He asks me how much I had to spend, so I was honest, I actually told him (I had no intention of buying the Monte Carlo at this point, was just curious what he would say!) and he proceeds to tell me how they had already marked this car down and I didnt have enough! Turns his nose up in the air and starts trying to point out a bigger piece of crap sitting in their lot! I just turned and walked away.
