So theres a lot of excitement for a gorgeous FALL weekend coming up... and we should absolutely get some comfortable and delightful weather Saturday, Sunday, and Monday! BUT... (theres always a but...) FRIDAY is likely to be a warm, muggy, stormy kind of day... with showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, some that could have strong wind gusts... The COLD FRONT that will be responsible for all the change, wont get to or thru our area until later Friday, Friday Night... the showers will start to breakout in the warm unstable air AHEAD of the boundary... so we get #ShowersFirst and then have to wait a while for the cooler... likely not until Saturday, maybe mid-morning... This boundary should have the legs to make it cleanly thru our area, letting the drier and cooler air in behind it on Saturday and lasting thru Monday... of course if it gets held up, we are stuck with some more of the #unsettled... though I dont think that will happen... Saturday morning (no matter what weather or whatever other weather apps are saying) probably WILL NOT be super cool and comfy, since the boundary wont have cleared yet - though it would be nice - we likely will feel that wind shift in the mid-late morning hours and thats when #theGOODstuff takes over... Saturday afternoon, a little breezy, sunny, highs near 80! Talk about AWESOME #FinallyFALL weather! Saturday night, with clear skies, it will cool off... again, before we jump on the computer bandwagon with mid 40s for Sunday morning, theres a few variables that need to be worked out... 1- the core of the cold doesnt look like its going to get this far south... 2- the winds need to calm down for radiational cooling (this one seems more likely)... lets go with 50 for a low Sunday morning, and that might be a little optimistic, but we can hope!!! Sunday is definitely looking like the BEST DAY weve had in forever... highs near 80, lows near 50... and that should continue into Monday... Of course, Ill keep updating this... as always... especially with the outdoor plans for Friday night and the FSU Game on Saturday... you can always get shorter, less scientific updates on my Twitter and video ones too on SocialCam...
