So theres this thing that happens, and its happening right now. About once a week or so, Ill be sitting in my cubicle at work and rocking out with earbuds on when Ill be moved by music (could be the concept, guitar playing, vocals, song writing, you get the point). Ill look around and know that Im the only one in the establishment thats ever heard, and most likely ever will hear that particular piece of music. Its a cool feeling. Kind of like being apart of secret society. But more than anything it sucks. It sucks for the bands because theyll never get the recognition they deserve and it sucks for the fans who have to go to the ends of the internet or pay excessing shipping costs to obtain this music from other countrys where its more popular. Sadly, its like this (in this country) because of a few corporate entities who refuse to embrace any sort of diversity (or, dare I say, give the underdog a chance). Its like corporate America only wants us to look at Picture that comes in the frame and not Da Vinci or Rembrandt, or Pollock or Warhol or... Whatever. youtu.be/yNnDstcZCMs
