So, this afternoon they were finally able to do the spinal tap. The fluid they removed showed that my pressures were very elevated. Normal is anywhere from 10 - 20. Mine was 28. They drained some fluid to try to relieve the pressure in my brain. The elevation in the fluid usually means a pseudo tumor. However, in my case they are actually thinking it might be a new auto immune thing. I did however, receive my first treatment tonight to reduce the fluid and in true Emily fashion .... I had an allergic reaction to it! Thankfully, it was not a large amount of med and I was able to get it all in with the help of some Benadryl. I dont have the words to describe how much it means to see all the prayers sent, sweet and inspiring words and care and compassion that yall have all shown me and my family. I know that everything happens for a reason and that God already knows the end result of all of this. So, I am just asking for prayers for strength and understanding and the ability to trust in Gods will no matter what that will be.
