So, this begs asking (though I hate asking it). How much is too much for admission to a church basement show? Im of the belief that anything more than $10 is absurd. It used to be $10 was for local shows (read: no headliner) in actual venues with a functional PA/mixing board, which is why TBQ shows were always set to $8. But with inflation and minimum wage going up, is this the standard with other promoters? Ive seen some local shows get away with charging as much as $15 (with a headliner) and that to me SEEMS ridiculous when weve run similar lineups for $8, but maybe its us who are being ridicuous for not keeping up with the curve/high cost of doing business. Thoughts? Who has em. Please keep in mind we have considered the adv vs. D.O.S. price point, but for the purposes of this discussion lets pretend D.O.S. tickets are the only option.
