So this guy walks up to me at the JAX air show and says Hey, are you with the Seawolves? and I said Yes, Im a Seawolf and he about broke my hand shaking it. And he tells me something about this thing hes holding and I look down and theres our emblem. He had heard about our display going to be at the show and he decided he had to come down. He asked me if I would like to have this flag. I said yes we would love to have it and he gave it to me. After I got back home, I sent him an email Wednesday night. Brian I am anxious to hear more about the background and inspiration for the pennant. Im sorry that we were so busy that day. I would have loved to spend more time with you. Please write down, in as much detail as you can, the history of this flag. I want our guys to know. Larry Rogers Seawolf Det 2 6/69~12/70 He responded the next morning. Larry I completely understand. The history behind the pennant is while I was serving in Iraq my first tour with the 2515 Navy Air Ambulance I read the Seawolf book. Later on when I was selected for Chief and we were going through induction they broke us up into squadrons and were told to choose a squadron from history to name ours after. Naturally, with all of us being rotor heads, we selected HAL-3. So we collected up our funds that we had earned doing our Chief Select chores and had the pennant made to make our guide-on. As we went through induction we were constantly called on to make S!@# happen because they told us we were the only reliable ones out there. We were also instructed that every time we heard HAL-3 called up we had to respond with ID RATHER HAVE VD IN MY MEDICAL RECORD, THAN VP (meaning the P-3 community) IN MY SERVICE RECORD!!!!!! We had a lot of fun. Brian Trey Tremain HMC (NAC/AW) (Ret) Gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to Mr. Brian Trey Tremain.
