So this had me laughing. I am in a group (one of several). I comment on someone elses post saying I like black metal. Dont I get called an elitist for liking black metal. O_o Seriously, this person had no idea what they were talking about. And apparently they did not realize that I posted thrash and groove metal just prior. I had to laugh as it was actually an amazing example of the ignorance of some people and their use of buzz words that they hear. So of course I reply back telling them just because I like black metal (hell I love metal period) that it does not prove I am an elitist and I question the person if they knew the term to which they responded it is someone that likes black metal. Seeing as other people were liking the status (it was what was your favorite genre of metal), I decided I had enough and left the group. Such narrow minded people annoy the hell out of me. I have also been called out for categorizing my metal.....yes, I have to so I can keep track of what I listen to. I have thousands of bands I listen to so I have to keep track of them some way (and no they are not all black metal lol). And I did invite this self-righteous, ignorant jackass to join the page to see what I post but he rudely declined. Sigh the world is unfortunately full of these idiots making the rest of us metalheads here look bad. (Rant off....music on). ~NIHIL~
