So, this happened in Fountain Inn last night. Two pit bulls were on the loose and attacked four dogs and two people. One of the pit bulls is in police custody and one is still on the loose. Two of the dogs who were attacked died, one of the attacked people is a child who had surgery last night. One of the other dogs attacked is alive this morning because a neighbor heard her owner screaming and came out and pulled the two pit bulls off her and her dog as they were walking home with two movies from the Redbox at the CVS. Lady Beattie used up one of her nine lives again last night (I think this puts her at 6 after being hit by a car in 2009, and having a mass in her ass at two different times). I am still shaken, but cannot express my gratitude enough to my neighbors who came running (and I am confident saved us both) and to the FI police who responded immediately. It pays to live 3 blocks from the station, and to be well known as the blonde whos always walking her white dog early in the morning. Lady is skittish and has some cuts and bruises and will be visiting our friends at Hillcrest Animal Hospital today but I think she is going to be OK. God was present at 401 Hellams last night, and I for one am extremely grateful.
