So this is my very first review on foodbank. I dont usually write about how the food I eat tastes, but today I thought I should start. Today I ended up going to 27 Shrimp Avenue. I know its currently still going through a soft opening so I tried not to have my hopes too high. We ordered Crispy Rise Soup which was amazing, the shrimp tempura which was also good. Now for the bad news. I wanted to order something just with shrimp alone but The waiter kept on telling me that I would have to order a different rice item with the shrimp. Thus i ended up ordering a Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp and a separate rice item. Even though the Crispy Rise Soup and tempura was prepared quickly I had to wait quite a while for the lemon garlic butter shrimp to be ready. Finally after it arrived, I realized this lemon garlic shrimp comes with pasta on the bottom, thus there was no need to order the additional rice item which costs me extra and tasted like polao. I had ordered the beef sausage rice. The lemon garlic butter shrimp looked good, but was very tasteless, the seasonings didnt go inside the shrimp. The silverware and plates the food was served on looked to be very unclean. The price seemed a little too high but what was outrageous is that they charged me 170 taka for two Bangladeshi made coke cans. Since this is a soft opening, would request the owners to bring some changes. The restaurant has a lot of potential and I would be happy to come back if these changes are implemented.
