So this is not about a pat on the back. I just want to say how awesome it feels to give back:) A woman I used to work with has 3 kids. Tips were bad. I got her two weeks of groceries. Then my one neighor moved in with his 18 year old son. Son lost job and dad went into hospital two weeks . Helped them get furniture and carry it bc they couldnt, gave week groceries and took him to store fwith fifty bucks to buy stuff. Then new neighbor on left moved in and found out he had not eaten in two days no toiletries no food no pans no bed. Put all his money into securing a place to see and visit his daughter and trying to land job. Provided an air mattress , bedding, toiletries , two weeks food, laundry soap , enough change for a load of laundry, and bus fare. I might have very little money for extras this week or next but God I am on cloud 9. Trying to be that positive person and give back to those like some of you did for me when my heart was broken and kids and I penniless and our belongibgs then sold and dispersed by my mother. ( you know who you all are, and my son treasures his Dr. WHO bag , oneof the few things he walked away with). Now our lil apartment building is full of love and good vibes, and I have some protective men and adopted family and friends in my life. I also learned a big lesson in judging. My one neighbor used to be a lead singer in some heavy metal band that frontlined for Slipknot and Disturbed etc his friends have a band called Underground Railroad and not typical ppl I would associate with. Other one is some spiritual priest. Another a Russian old lady that cant make it to the store so provided her with cat food and litter. So then one helped carry my furniture and it has turned into a Domino effect of gosh some amazing proportions and a hodgepodge of people that would have never come together in any other circumstances.
