So, this is our last night in our current house. This was our first house. We got married whilst living here. We had our two dogs, Harry and Sally (and lost them) whilst here. Kat gave birth to both our beautiful children on the living room floor. Weve had some great Eurovision parties at this house. We started our business in this house. Our belongings, amassed over 13 years are mostly in boxes, and we are moving out tomorrow. Although there are things I will miss about being here, Im not sad because we are moving on to a new and exciting house. Probably the thing I will miss the most is being near to Jacky and Jon. They moved in to the street at the same time as us - in fact in a strange way they are responsible for us moving into this area, and we encouraged them to move into their house. We lived strangely parallel lives; dogs, VWs - campers and a Baja - Eurovision, children, even had the same sofa. I will miss being able to pop over for emergency supplies, general time wasting, chatting, silliness, and Ill even miss the constant replacement key service I provide for Jacky. But again, Im not sad, because I know they will still be the sorts of friends who would drop anything to help out, and they know we will always be there for them too. So, Farren Road, you have been great. I will remember you very fondly. But you are only bricks and mortar, and the important things are coming with us. Oh, and one last thing, you just didnt have enough bathrooms for Kat. Im sorry, but it did have to be said.
