So this is what happens when Rust-Art, Rustic Metal Art Sculpture and Southern Star Building combine. Like Batman and Bruce Wayne - Both the same but different personas. Without the bat suit ( but Im working on that !!!) This deck was constructed to be different. 3 size boards were used. Deck over the existing concrete porch up to the front door. A deck path to the drive way. Then the Rust Art part begins.... A large rough sawn timber fitted around the edge to give some chunkiness ( is that a word ??) Railway spikes and rusty bolts randomly fitted to Mr Chunky....Also some old palings fitted to the ends of the steps Then under steps 3 panels made to depict the beach feel of the house. Behind the panels is fitted colorbond flat sheet to highlight the cutout designs. These panels were rusted to a light colour and look spectacular in the morning sun. The best part of this job was the final unveiling and showing the customers the steps. They were so pleased and are now planning some more work in the back yard. I thanked them for the opportunity to do something different. :)
