So, this is what his citation said for his medal....... :) “Superior performance of duty while serving as a Cryptolinguist, Command Element S-2, 22nd MEU, from 6 to 7 June 2014. While aboard the USS Bataan, LCpl Morrow provided critical, real-time translation between the 282 rescued migrants, embarked force protection personnel, and embarked medical staffs. In so doing, he enabled the medical staffs to receive vital information pertaining to three patients’ injuries, greatly increasing the medical staffs’ ability to provide rapid, critical medical care. LCpl Morrow also directly supported force protection personnel in identifying geographic regions of origins and signs of risk among key persons of interest among the greater body of migrants, facilitating greater security. In so doing, LCpl Morrow’s calm, versatile performance of his duties directly facilitated both critical medical care for injured migrants and force protection for the ship, its crew, and the embarked Marines. LCpl Morrow’s initiative and loyal dedication to duty reflected credit upon himself and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service.”
