So this is where it really all started.................. As a former employee at Southern High School, myself and some really great friends decided that we wanted to enter a High School Division for the Dinanña Minagof Chamoru Cultural Dance Competition at the former GefPågo Cultural Village in Inarajan. We garnered several trophies and continued on for the next year where we were able to garner several more trophies including Best Ancient Overall. Then...........I moved from Southern to Talofofo Elementary but my teachings did not stop there. I continued to assist SOUTHERN in many of the Chamoru Language Competitions at UOG for Charter Day at the same time teaching the after school Chamoru Cultural Dance Program at Mt. Carmel. Also, assisting Souther High in the Baila portion and Male and Female Vocals. Garnering several awards from there. But, my work did not stop there either...............Now comes the harder part of my journey. The Birth of Katon I Tano.
