So this morning, I had a 6th grader who was a little nervous for the test. But I reassured her that she just needed to try her best, we never look at the grade as a reflection on what she can do. I then had my third grader come out dressed sharply and he says Its test day, if I look good and feel good, I will do good! We have never put much into these tests, just always said they need to try their hardest. When the test results come in I dont even show them to the kids, well Katie as this is Zachs first year. We had standardized test when we were in elementary school, and now they have theirs. Do I think teachers just teach to the test now?Yes, but it is what it is and its my job to prepare my children to be able to handle it. Early bed, healthy meals, and a positive attitude.
