So this needs to be said. I personally am elated at the response this fundraiser has received. Twice a year, the station does a ‘standard’ fundraiser, and those donations keeps us going, but the response for this particular need has surpassed our expectations. It’s awesome to see how many people believe in what we do week after week and have made that extra effort to support us in so many ways. We’ve had donations coming in steady for 2 weeks; people handing me cash at clubs, emailing funds, people going through the site every day making CC or Paypal donations. Some of the other promoters that see the value we offer their product have given to the show as well. Some other events this week have donated a portion of their door to us. Others are handing out donation envelopes at events they are not even holding…….I mean wtf that’s incredible!! Even International talent are sending their love on the event wall! Most importantly, some of the performers have been leading by example by not only volunteering their time, but by sending sizable donations as well. So I want to send a shout to everyone who’s helping but specifically the “industry” crew for banding together like a family for this cause!! The old school rave vibe is still here because for the first time in a long time, I can see the community vibe that this scene should be all about! To some of the crews that I’m aware who’ve helped…Thank you. Apologies if anyone was missed.
