So, this post is overdue but I wanted some time to reflect after FC Bournemouth. It is with sadness that my competitive cheerleading career with Unity Allstars has come to an end. I have seen it grow first hand from a team that looked to develop and showcase the best in University cheerleaders to a program that challenges for national titles at virtually every age group and level and is experienced at representing the UK on an International level. I feel nothing but pride knowing I have been a small part of this and will watch on with interest to see how all the teams progress, especially Ruby and Black represent the UK Worlds next year. Unity Allstars has been such a big part of my life for the last 8 years. Through the team I have made friendships that will last a lifetime and it was where I met my wife, Elisabeth. Massive thanks has to go to Tori and Amanda, thanks for keeping me around all this time. I find it hard to put into words the thanks I have. You both are fantastic people. Unity athletes are very lucky to have you and the other Unity coaches. Shout out has to go to Ant who was there at the start and now plies his trade with World Cup. Miss you mate but they are lucky to have you. To all athletes I cheered with on Black, it was an honour and a privilege, thanks for all the amazing memories. There are too many to mention here but you know who you are. To all current and future Unity athletes, don’t take your time with the team for granted, you are all privileged to be on the program. I hope you can all get as much out the team as I have because it has given me so many fond memories and so much happiness. UA Forever!
