So this question ,statement goes out to anyone who can make sense of it, I live in Scappoose , my girls go to school out on Sauvie Island, We travel US 30 daily , just outside of the Scappoose is the county line (Multnomah) so for the past month from here to the pass they have been repaving 4.5 miles. I understand road repairs what I dont get is if the Emergency /shoulder and center lane medium are never traveled on still look as good as when they paved last time ,Why in the world do they need to grind those areas down and repave ?????? Fact: It costs $150,000 dollars per mile to do this not including grinding and manpower thats just the paving . Is it me or is this Dumb money spent from us taxpayers ! OR does someone know a logical explanation for this!
