So this weekend I had someone say to me You are BIG for being due - TopicsExpress

So this weekend I had someone say to me You are BIG for being due in March. Are you sure there is only ONE in there? (which isnt the only time someone has made a comment like this) Yes I am sure there is only ONE in here! Or at least I thought so. Maybe I should ask my Dr. because I am sure your judgment on my size is way more accurate than two ultrasounds and my Drs professional opinion. (Btw my Dr says I am measuring right on with where I should be) What makes people think that because a woman is pregnant they have the right to say whatever the hell they want about their size/weight? To this comment that was made about my growth during my pregnancy with the ONE baby I am carrying, should I have taken that opportunity to comment on your TWO chins since we are getting our comments out in the open? if I had, would I then not look like the bad person in this conversation even though you just basically called me a fat ass to my face, but thought that was acceptable and non-hurtful because I am pregnant? (It made me want to lock myself in the bathroom and cry) I am tired of these comments and being made to feel like shit and self conscious about my pregnant body. So If you dont have anything nice to say, I would suggest you dont say anything. Unless, you want to hear about your love handles, big ass or the extra 10 pounds that you put on over the holidays. I have decided I am done standing there taking your hurtful comments that you feel are acceptable because I am pregnant, (but really make me want to cry and feel bad about my pregnancy cravings and the fact that I am hungry every two hours but want to fight the urge to eat because you think I am HUGE) So if you want a taste of your own medicine keep em coming my friend, because we all have flaws and what I have to say may make you think twice about expressing your next rude comment to the next pregnant woman you encounter.
