So to everyone who knows something is going on with Amanda’s health a little prospectus. Amanda came into ER on the 16th , after a CAT scan she was admitted to the Oncology floor for testing. After 2 MRI’s, 2 CAT scans, 2 PET Scans and a Mammogram. With these scans we were given a preemptive diagnosis of Hodgkins Lymphoma. Of course we all were very concerned and our minds ran wild. She did numerous blood test and had her first biopsy in the spine. Then she had a bone marrow test. None of these test gave the doctors the answers to their questions of what kind of cancer. She then had a bronchoscopy to get some sample tissue of her lungs and lymph nodes. Still no answers. On Tuesday she had a biopsy where they removes a couple of lymph nodes that looked irregular on the scans, we were very excited to learn they were not cancerous to 97%, but were sent to Johns Hopkins for further study. We have been taken off the oncology floor for now but the oncologist still believes is looks like lymphoma. We want to thank everyone for your encouraging words and prayers. We are hopeful to have a diagnosis this week.
