So today 30 years ago I was at the OB/GYN because I thought I was having some signs of labor.... We left the 3 children with my sister and headed to GF. As we neared his work place Rich said,So how about you drop me off here at work and let me know what the doc says? I was a wee bit quieter back then (I know you cant believe it) and said, Um I think you should come with me. He was stressed and we went together to find out I was already in labor. A quick trip to GFH from the MD office and I was admitted. They were sure it would be anytime especially since I had the previous babe in 20 mins after my water broke, so they wouldnt let me out of bed. And we waited, no pain just excited. RIch asked me if I would please hurry it along. (Ladies you can imagine my thoughts) Finally they let me out of bed to walk. I made it one length of the hallway. That was the year before the snuggery opened up so onto the the labor bed I went and it was like demo derby when they went to wheel me out of my room only to meet the lady across the hall coming out of her room and each of us was 10 and 100%!! My doc never heard the page so dear Dr. Jim from the office 3 blocks away flew and made it just in time to deliver the placenta....the doc for the other gal literally caught Kristofer . What a blessing he is to our family. Kristofer (Christ bearer) Daniel (man of God). .. (I think his name suits him dont you??) You light up my life, you give me hope to carry on.....your hopes dreams, wisdom, standards and love change the world every day. Thank you for being my friend and son.
