So today I decided I had had enough of my Paywave not working - TopicsExpress

So today I decided I had had enough of my Paywave not working properly on my credit card and took off with Jaime to the bank to get it checked out. Went into Commonwealth and told them my issues. The lady behind the service counter (not the teller) took my card, looked at it, and then entered the numbers into the system and it came up blank. She tried it again and it came up blank. Perplexed she scanned it with the hand scanner AND the keyboard reader and could not get the card to read at all. She asked if I had another Commonwealth account and I gave her my other card which scanned right away. She looked at the card again and checked the expiry dates and the CCV on the back to make sure it was valid and tried again to no avail. Finally she decided to ring card services and told them the issue. They asked her to read the card number out and they told her it was an ANZ card she was reading to them. She looked at it again and looked at me and we both decided never to speak of this again! Moral of the story - if you are a customer, go into the RIGHT bank your card is from. If you are a bank employee - check the bank logos staring at you on the card before proceeding. We will both meet up in 20 years to laugh about this.
