So today I did something that I had not done in a very long time, I went to see my mother. Nothing unusual in that apart from the fact that I was 14 days too late because sadly she passed away 13 days ago. I suppose that I had been putting it off going to see her for far too long and the longer you put something important off the more difficult it then becomes to put it right, I always thought that I had plenty of tomorrows to fix the situation between my mother and I but sadly that was not the case. What makes it difficult now is that apart from her inability to get around under her own steam she wasnt showing any signs of illness and subsequently her death came as a massive shock to us all. I only wish I had swallowed my pride earlier and said what I needed to say while she was still in our lives, I will never forgive myself for this. In short I have today made peace with her soul and made some promises that I WILL not break... Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today. As one things for sure we none of us know how many tomorrows we have left. Rest in peace mother For ever in my thoughts Chris xxx
