So today I experienced a very personal setback regarding one of my longest and most meaningful relationships. Today there was a CONSCIOUS UNCOUPLING in my life... My long term relationship, with Sprint wireless and I, has come to an impasse. We just cant work out our differences. I want to use an excess amount of data roaming, but in our marriage contract, somewhere it states, this is LIMITED in their UNLIMITED plan. Over the years Sprint PCS and I have had our differences, but were always able to work them out even though what they have been offering me has always held me back from making clear and uninterrupted calls with reliable data service. Plain and simple, if you live outside the city, their service stinks. It seems that I was secretly having an affair with Verizon wireless as my phone was taking advantage of their tower signals. Sprint finally confronted me with their knowledge of this affair back in January and has been keeping me on a short leash ever since. Sprint couldnt take it any longer and terminated our relationship effective April 8th 2014. It was a messy break up with threats of keeping my phone number and sticking me with a useless phone, that I purchased just a year ago. What first seemed to be a costly break up, turned out to benefit me more than I could imagine. I hooked up with Verizon today with an upgraded phone, at no cost, and $100 credit for a new activation minus the $35 activation fee. I should be able to sell my used Sprint phone for $100-$150, according to current market demands on eBay (Samsung Galaxy S3, if anyone is interested). I think I paid $50 for the phone new, so that could be pure profit. Thank you Sprint, for years of subpar service while slowly adding charges to my account that your customer service agents couldnt even explain to me. You were always cheaper than Verizon while maintaining the second largest network, and I accepted that about you. I stayed loyal and stood beside you because you were a decent value, at the time, and the service was OK. It was way better than T-Mobile and AT&T. Now Verizon has caught up with you in value. They finally have a plan that fits my lifestyle and budget. They even paid me to sign our new contract together. Dont get me wrong, Verizon has its many flaws, as well and I know they are sneaky, but they dont hide this from anyone. They have a right to be cocky, since their service is superior. I hated going with them, but I did and I hope it works out better than we had it. I will have to say goodbye to level 457 in Candy Crush and thanks to you that was a waste of the last 9 months of my life. I was almost at the end. Completing the game would have accomplished absolutely nothing other than giving me bragging rights to others with nothing better to do. I wish I could say I will miss you, but I wont. I have moved on to bigger phones and better coverage, at a better value. Oh, and that last move you made of destroying my memory card when I pulled it out, dont worry, it was only an 8Gig card, my new phone is 16Gig, I had already backed it up and I have others. You cant disappoint me anymore Sprint PCS Mobile ....
