So today I got pulled over. The cop came to my window and gave me a smile and asked me about my day. I replied with a smile and a chuckle and a sincere Mmm its alright. He asked me how long Ive lived in Indiana. And then how I liked it. He asked for my license and registration. And then explained to me what my registration was with a smile as I had no idea. He then informed me that I was doing 78 in a 55 and he was gonna go write me one and get me on my way as quick as possible and asked if I had any questions. I said I understood and deserved it and apologized. He came back and told me he was concerned with my safety and appreciated my respect and understanding and asked me to promise to slow down as he would hate to see me make a mistake I couldnt change in the future because he felt the world could use as many genuinely kind people as possible these days. He treated me with respect and understanding. He was genuinely concerned with my safety and the safety of others. He didnt treat me like a criminal or as if he was better than me in any way. I promised to slow down. He gave me a warning. I shook his hand and thanked him for doing what you do and he thanked me for being who you are I drove 45 all the way home and pissed everyone off. And smiled the whole time, thankful for that breath of fresh air.
