So today Joey and I went out to the girls school to have Thanksgiving lunch with them. When we got out there the teachers sent all the parents straight to the cafeteria. So we picked a seat in the far corner and waited for the girls to get out of class. Pretty soon they all started marching in, I see Heidi and Brooklyn searching around the room for us and this look of sadness and disappointment comes over their face when they scan the room and didnt see us. So I just waited a minute and finally Heidi spots us and looks back at Brook and says Brooklyn theyre here, I see them right over there (pointing at us)!! Their little faces lite up, huge smiles from ear to ear. They rushed over with their food and sat down. We knew you were coming! :) And that folks, is the best feeling in the world! Being a parent and knowing your children know they can count on you! Something that seemed so small to us, was a huge thing to them and they will forever remember you coming to eat Thanksgiving at their school! I also have to thank our jobs for being so understanding and letting us off for that hour to spend with our kids. It would have been terrible if they were the only kids with parents that didnt show up!
