So, today is Thank a Peace Officer Day Well, to those who have told me about today and thanked me....cool, I appreciate it very much. Always means a lot to hear thank you from someone. However, for me, I want to say thank you to Deputy Jessica Hollis of the Travis Co. Sheriffs Office. Thank you for you dedication to Duty. Thank you for laying down your life during a time of great danger so that others might live. I want to say thank you to Mike Eakin....my partner, my friend, my brother....for sharing your life with me. We spent many a shift working together, in the Chiefs Office (lol) and had some great times with our friends/family when away from work. You were and never will be forgotten. To all of the men and women I have known and even to those I only knew about, and especially to their families...thank you....thank you for all you have given. Such a price should never have been paid, yet, you did. The cost can never be restored, yet, with all of my heart, I sincerely say; Thank you. From all of us here at the Cleveland ISD Police Department to the men / women wearing the Badge all across this Country, we humbly and sincerely say Thank you. And to the families of all those brave Officers, we also wish to extend a special thank you for sharing your loved one with us so that others may live without fear and in peace. Gods speed. Rex
