So today is a day that we all remember and take time to honor those that perished in the terrorist attacks on our country 13 years ago. My prayers are with all of the families that are mourning the loss of there loved ones from that terrible fateful day. Today, this day, will now mark the ending of a generation in my family. In the early morning hours, my grandpa took his final breath here on earth and stepped through the gates of Heaven!! He is now face to face with his Lord and reunited with so many family and friends that have been waiting for him! He lived to be 99 years of age!! It has been a very long and hard several weeks for my mom and her siblings and my cousins as they have been by his bedside watching this process. So many emotions for each one of us in this big family! Bittersweet for sure!! Please continue to pray for my family members as we celebrate his life and say our final goodbyes. I will be going to South Dakota on the 24th to attend. Rest in peace grandpa and thank you for being an awesome grandfather to me and teaching me how much Jesus loves me! Thank you for making me memorize John 3:16! Thank you for all the fishing days and teaching me the fishy fishy in the brook song. I have passed that on to my kids! Thanks for the fun times of chasing us to catch us so you could eat our ears with ketchup! By the way, That was gross but fun none the less! Thank you for challenging us with your cool metal ring puzzles you made! Those were awesome! And, I really think we should have got more than a dime for rubbing your feet during your nap time (inflation you know). I really did enjoy the charm pops though and the bike rides in the park. So many memories!! I will miss you but I know we will meet again and praise Jesus together!! I love you and please give grandma a big kiss for me!!! Love, Sherry
