So today is the birth of Time 4 A Change. You ever walk the streets of a city and notice the homeless people? I mean REALLY notice them? Look at their faces? Make eye contact? Ever notice how much money they may or may not have accumulated in their jar? I have. One day, I went to Boston with my best friend and noticed a homeless amputee sitting on the sidewalk. One of his legs was missing. He had a cup sitting in front of him and a few coins inside of it. It instantly saddened me. I quickly opened my wallet and removed a $5 and placed it within the cup and said God Bless. It took him a few seconds to realize what just occurred, and he looked into his cup and did a double take. He then looked up at me and gave me a smile of gratitude that just moved my soul. Today, I could feel the power of God working within me. He told me to do something and I did. I went and bought numerous reusable tote bags, hand sanitizer, a combo pack of tooth brushes with toothpaste, a 2-in-1 bottle of shampoo & conditioner, and a pack of q-tips. Those may not seem like necessities, but you ever stop to think about how good you feel after a nice cleaning? The next part to this is to gather food and clothing. Jackets, T-shirts, winter gloves... I need food that wont spoil, like beef jerky, trail-mix, pre-wrapped items like fiber bars or cans of pringles... crackers, cookies, chips... and then were gonna set a date. Last part, a list of the homeless shelters found in Boston. Hopefully sometime in September, were gonna drive down to Boston and just walk the streets and give out these bags to the homeless. Its time to stop ignoring our fellow man. Its time for a change.
