So today we ministered to approximately 25 kids at an orphanage. We picked them up in the city and took them out to the country where the boys orphanage is being redone, and spent about 5 hours playing, ministering, and loving on these kids. We bought pizza for them, which they had never before eaten. We then played soccer, frisbee, jump rope, tug a war, cat and mouse, a form of duck duck goose (with partners), a balloon game, and racing after spinning with a bat. The kids loved it and were always open to hugs and affection that they so desperately need! It rained all day, but we didnt let that stop us from playing with them, so by the end of the day, lets just say, I needed a shower! We did some dancing and listened to Christian music. The program they did was awesome and the kids were paying so much attention. Then when we passed out the school supplies, we had a personalized card in each and they came up and gave us a hug. Their faces were ones Ill never forget! They were so thankful because, the orphanage they are in cant always provide food for the kids, and for them to get to a meal, spend a day playing with us, and get some school stuff, they felt beyond blessed! But I think we were the blessed ones, to see how a simple act of love can change the faces of these kids with the simplest of things, makes me want to live my life entirely different! Tomorrow we will be ministering in a village 2 hours away! Please pray for safety on our travel and that the hearts of the people are open!
