So today we where building a deck. I was having a nice morning, cutting the decking timber with the drop saw. I stop and look around to take in the beautiful scenery of trees and admire the size of the unfinished swimming pool. Suddenly, i hear Jesse yell over to me in a semi-casual way I just dislocated my thumb! At first i thought he was joking around, until i walked over and saw him standing with his hand out and his thumb bend outward to the opposite thing a thumb should be doing. A hint of panic arose in me until i think again Oh maybe hes double jointed and playing a trick Then i look at his face and see the pain in his eyes - a hint of a tear - I know its real now. Suddenly, but almost casually, he looks up, out toward the forest, and with the face of resolve, grabs his dislocated thumb and cracks it back into place!! He then worked all day today. #builder #lol
