So, tonight at the fundraiser I met Kate, a Durango local who happens to be the western organizer of The National Young Farmers Coalition!I was introduced to her by my friend Linley who runs Adobe House Farm. Same vein, eh! Aside from meeting many Durango locals tonight at the fundraiser, I also met the members of an awesomely energetic Durango gypsy band called Carute Roma (caruteroma/, https://soundcloud/carute-roma)...aaaaaand I may soon be playing my clarinet in the band too!!! Theyve been wanting a clarinet in their band so much so that they sent their accordion player to the Czech Republic to learn how to play the clarinet, er um something like that. Anyways, it looks like I may have found a way to play my clarinet in a group again! I am SOO thrilled for this synchronistic meeting! Crazy, but Ive only been in Durango a month and Im quickly checking things off my assimilation list: x ~Find a local farm(s) to volunteer with
