So tonight on the way home from the den I witnessed some loose their life over not one but several stupid choices. While no one died the unnamed lady is very lucky she lived. I was driving down Bedford street and at the intersection with vine street I saw a car wrapped around the light post. I pulled over to help and smelt fumes. I made a wide circle to see if anyone was inside. Sure enough a young woman was. I slowly made my way to the car begging her to get out but she kept insisting she was fine and just needed to rest. I was able to get her out and drag her to the sidewalk. She couldnt walk because of a broken leg. I called her dad and waited until he arrived. While waiting her friend passed by and stopped. While talking to the lady I found out she was a lawyer fresh out of school. Promising future right? Well I also found out not only had she been DRINKING but also TEXTING AND DRIVING. The cops arrived before I left so I doubt shes getting away without a DUI. Her insurance is gonna sky rocket. Shell probably loose her license. But the biggest part? Since shes a lawyer, having a criminal record is reason for your firm to fire you. And itll be difficult for her to get another job in that field. So thats a lot of money from school wasted and more money or a good future going to be wasted. thats sad seeing it was someone who really seemed to have a good start to their life. And its all gone in one night.
