So, too much time to think today. Abby brought home a book a couple nights ago called Save the Planet. No disagreement with the basic principles presented in the book...other than the child was coming home with information that the parents didnt know and was making the parents look stupid...I cant belive you didnt know that Dad! was a reference to the parent not knowing that showers use less water than a bath. So I think that is the whole premise behind common core. Especially with the arithmetic. This is a ploy in the governments indoctrination plan. So if a parent cannot arrive at an answer the common core way, or a parent even says wow, I cant do this new math the child is going to think the parent is uneducated or not hip in the new ways and will think we are dumb, and mistrust us on other issues. Get it??
