So, towards the end of the night last night at Heroes Sports Bar & - TopicsExpress

So, towards the end of the night last night at Heroes Sports Bar & Grill, I was playing some classics. I believe my set went something along the lines of Mtume - Juicyfruit, Gap Band - Outstanding, Luther Vandross - Never Too Much, Alicia Meyers - I Want To Thank You, EWF - Brazilian Rhyme. At this point, a female came up to me with the request to play some real shit. I responded that this was, in fact, real shit. She then proceeded to inform me that it wasnt, and I should play some real shit. I then stopped the music, grabbed the mic, and informed her and the rest of the patrons of the establishment, that I am a firm believer of playing real music, and if you are not a fan of what I do, go elsewhere. There are plenty of venues where the DJ will be your jukebox and you can hear the same old. Also, I have no problems with requests and will always accommodate if/when I can and it makes sense with what I am doing, but to talk some shit like that is just disrespectful to me and what I do as a DJ. Thankfully, most of the patrons responded to my statement of real shit with a big round of applause and amens. So thanks to those that support. Just want to say that it is appreciated.
