So trying to find a little perspective on how much bs we are being fed to justify these budget cuts, here is what ive found working with last years budget numbers as there is not going to be that much difference. - The government budget spent $398.3 Billion - unemployment rate is at around 5.8% that is like 1.3 million people - $9.5 Billion of that goes to the unemployed and the sick - they want to propose that people under 30 virtually go into poverty waiting 6 months before they see a single cent to help them out. - but at least we can feel safe since they spent $12.4 Billion on new fighter jets - $266 Billion comes from your income taxes, it works out to be around 2% of what you pay goes to the unemployed. But about 2.5% of what you pay went onto these 58 jets. - people that complain that their taxes pays for the unemployed, but they dont complain when money gets spent on something we can live without. - out of the $73.6 Billion labeled for other purposes they couldnt find anything to cut out of that? Oh that might include their pay and other things the rich like to do, like buy their daughter a $60,000 scholarship but claim it was all merit... Or give lovely tax subsidies for large companies. The list for things like this could go on till my fingers bleed. This is just ONE aspect that i was able to find with an hour or two of research. This current government has almost broke every promise they made, I hope the next time a election comes people actually Think why they are voting for someone, and not because what they watched and read in controlled media. So tell me again how 1.3million people should suck it up and go fruit picking or face poverty so that you wonderful tax payers can have a more impressive jet show on grand prix day. Dont get me started on farmers and how they get screwed :P
