So unexpected and interesting day around here. I have house guests; two very large house guests. Two of my Tibetan Mastiff grand-dogs are here for the weekend because oldest son and DIL are out of town and their usual boarders were unavailable…so to Grandma’s house they came. Lyka the champion female and the baby, Capi. This will be a first for such large doggies 24/7 in our house; our goldens were good size, but nothing like these guys. The morning was spent exploring; they love the backyard but the fav place is at the dining room windows where they can see everything from a sitting position. So far so good...well see how the night goes... In the mail today arrived the first block of a new BOM series for 2015 that I couldn’t resist. Another Kathy Schmitz embroidered seasonal piece, that can be individual on hangers or merged into a darling quilt. Won’t be starting until after the first of the first of the year, but will be fun to embroider in the evenings starting January when all the other BOMS are done (wishful thinking). I promised myself I would not do a bunch of BOMs next year; well that didn’t last too long. I signed up for Spargo’s (of course) and Kathy Schmitz “Patchwork Year”. But not so bad yet—this year I’m doing six BOMs (what was I thinking?) which is just too many to stay on top of. So next year a couple and I still have our Wednesday Quilt Group BOM “The Village” which will go way into 2015, which hopefully should keep my stress level at a minimum. Wow, Blazers looked brilliant in the second half last night against Dallas….I’m thrilled about the new additions to our bench. And amazingly, as I suspected, my backup quarterback-Andy Dalton-totally tanked last night and gave me a -3 points; OMG. This will be a really sad Fantasy Football week for me…
