If you are too, go to the WVTAP Press Conference related to MCHM and health effects on Tuesday, April 1st at 10am. ***Expert Panel Meets to Critically Examine Available Data**** April 1st Press Conference Following Health Effects Expert Panel Deliberation Charleston, WV, March 26, 2014— A one hour WV TAP press conference will be conducted at West Virginia State University following the Health Effects Expert Panel. The conference is being held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prior press release misstated the meeting as ending later in the day. The April 1st press conference will be held for one hour. CDC Responds to WV TAP Request for 4-MCHM and PPH Health Effects Information The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has provided the WV TAP team additional information regarding the 4-methylcyclohexanemethanol (MCHM) and propylene glycol phenyl ether (PPH) guidance they issued. The WV TAP team requested clarification last week on several topics associated with 4-MCHM and PPH compounds that were spilled into the Elk River January 9, 2014. The CDC response is a single document and has now been uploaded to the WV TAP website. This information is also being provided to the Health Effects Expert Panel which will meet in the coming days.
