So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:20-21 What is an ambassador? An ambassador is someone who represents a country or an individual. We were saved by Christ; we traded our sin, filth, and godlessness for the love of Jesus, which enabled us to be returned to right standing with God. Jesus never sinned, but we did so he became the sacrifice to set us free. He then placed his love and his spirit within us so we could proclaim that Jesus saves, and that he loves us no matter what we have done. This message within us ought to be preached to the entire world, that anyone who would come to him would be saved. Jesus paid a debt he did not owe, so we could have eternal life. We owed a debt we could not pay. Because his love was so great for us, we ought to feel the responsibility of sharing the good news where ever we go. Jesus even said go and preach this message to the entire world. This was not just a command to the disciples, but to us also. If we love him, as much as we say we do, then we ought to feel the need to share about his love, goodness, and mercy with everyone who will listen. We are his vessels, his spokesman, so let’s spread the good news to everyone, before his return, so that all will hear the message, and maybe some will return to him. Let’s do what we ought to starting today let’s become ambassadors for Christ and his love and salvation and forgiveness.
