So we found out today that Lucass viral thing hes had going on is para pertussis which is the milder form of whooping cough. This isnt good for him and we hope the meds he is starting will cure him quickly. Actually, the whole family is starting meds to be safe. Sure gonna love getting Mia to take her meds. It will be the joy of our day...umm yeah right. This cough is causing him to gag some which of course could cause him to aspirate. Actually, our PA said hes probably already micro aspirating some so our aggressive vest therapies are really good for him. Please pray our power does not goes off with this weather. We need electricity for his suction machines in case they lose charge. We will charge them just in case but never thought about all those kids on machines and what happens when the power goes out. Guess a gasoline power generator will be in our future. Not too worried about these machines today but who knows what he will need in the future. Some other news is that more tests came back negative. So we can rule out more things he does not have. Maybe one day we will figure it out. I have been reading some studies and articles from around the world and have found some interesting things. Im gonna pass it on to our doctors. Who knows? Might just lead us in the right direction.
