So, we had an assistant teacher in Art at Pace for two weeks, today was his last day, and it bothered me so much how he was a young guy, seemed so nice at the beginning of the week, and I saw him just get bossier and brattier and brainwashed by the teacher to the point he felt like he owned the place halfway through this week. He, along with the teacher, would unnecissarily express their opinion about what colors the students should have chosen to paint, and basically degrading everyone. As a result, I stood up to them, and gave them both hell for a week and a half, especially today, and I would not have it. I told them I would let them fail me before anyone tells me what I should do/should have done in my painting, and I would like to say, Im a little higher reputable for my art in that class than most of the students, and currently have 2 on display in front of the main office, 1 in the paper, and my biggest question for them was, You never complained about my previous projects you tried to get involved with, in fact you encouraged me to put it in the stupid paper to begin with, so do you really think Im going to fail you now? So far, slowly but surely, ive seen my art progress. And I have been doing exactly what they ask of me, dont get me wrong, but I ALWAYS add my own touch. Always. And they respected me for that, unlike most of the other folks who wouldnt stand up for themself.
