So we have arrived and moved in to our new place in North Carolina. There have been a lot of negatives about this move so far... financial, internet, movers, leaving friends behind, driving 55 for 600 miles... you fellow guardsman know how much that blows, and finally trying to find everything in the packed boxes we need now... but there are so many positives to outweigh them... First... we have each other, and aside from a few instances, the girls are getting along great and seem to be in good spirits. There are a lot of kids here so I think that the kids are not going to have any trouble finding new friends. The apartment is great... the carpet is so soft and plush, the bathrooms feel like you are in a fancy motel bathroom, complete with the rounded bar to pull the shower curtain away from you. The weather has been pretty cool, had a lotta rain, but it has kept the temperatures down so that is good. All of our furniture made it in the move so that is a huge plus. And there are so many cool things for us to do that are within twenty minutes from home. I think this going to be a great thing for us.
