So we just had an amazing event happen here in our little town. A group of caring and motivated people stepped up to make an event happen for all to enjoy. This happens a lot in our little town... people stepping up and giving what they can for the greater good. It doesnt matter if its volunteering at a High School ball game, or cleaning up our highways or Rodeo grounds after everyone else has already gone home. Or passing a levy, so that once again our children get the education they deserve. Sometimes, its things like buying a child school supplies or getting a baseball team going or being an EMT, but no matter what, in this little town we are blessed to have people who step up and give their all. I have lived here for the majority of my life and I choose to stay and raise my own children here, because of the support in this little town that I love so dearly. I have seen this community step up to the plate so many times, whether its raising funds for an event or raising funds to help someone with their hospital bills or funeral expenses, or spending countless hours searching for the lost. For organizing dinners for the grieving or showing up with a casserole or a pan of brownies to help celebrate a new life, Ive even seen a pot of chicken noodle soup on a sick day. We may not all hang out in the same circles or see each other on a daily bases, but when it comes to taking care of our own, Im proud to say I think this little community of ours rocks! So to all of you who do give your time and energy dont think that it goes unnoticed, even if you dont always get the pat on the back, without you this town wouldnt be as great. So thank you for all you have done and all you are doing and for anything that you do in the future. :)
