So, we took the animals to the fair...minus the horse (because of the trick motorcycle track being too close to the horse pen). Monday night Babe (the pig) was great and loved people. Tuesday night Babe was happy and laying down for his belly rubbed. Wed during the day Babe was great, but after the weather got a little bad, he got bad. He was restless and not happy. We tried all new water. Clean pool. Removed the pool. More mud. Less mud. Gave him treats. Stop his treats. Had people scratch his favorite spots. Stopped allowing people to pet him at all. I think that he got too many treats and had a tummy ache. I also think that he was just tired but couldnt get comfortable. If he isnt feeling better today, he is going home. I dont like any of the animals to be upset or uncomfortable and that is why we have watched them so closely. For him to get restless has me upset. I have a few ideas to make it better today and if it doesnt he comes home. If you come to see us at the fair and Babe is not there, I hope you understand we have to do what is best for the animals.
