So week 3. Dawn patrol. with some marginal victories some devestating losss the skorne campaign was not dominant. That has changed. After Mekedas devastating loss to Mulg a restructure of tactics had to be approached. Tyrant Xerxes has quickly changed the tide. arriving after a decisive tactical display forcing varies other armies to retreat in the battle of week 2, Xerxes has secured fresh suply lines. The determination of the troops has returned. the battlefield a chess board to the patient tyrant. As dawn broke a new and formidable enemy attacked Xerxes camp in full force. (high exemplar Kreoss and the protectorate of menoth). the skorne view mans worship of this god of thiers as a disgusting weakness pitifull and against the code of hoksunes self reliance. Xerxes himself had to stay his own hand on the field of battle curbing his disgust and anger to patiently command his troops. Kreos approached from all side. a mistake xerxes casually capitalized on early. the key was to remain in formation. every battle starts with a single step. Xerxes formed a defensive brick trying to protect the mammoth and keep it firing or else we all die. by casually moving from the right to the left at the start of the game and not forward Xerxes went a long way in controlling how kreos positioned. the battle was over there at that point but just needed to work itself out. once he took the bait. Xerxes simply moved back to the left surprisingly to kreos. this caused all the cavalry and heavy infantry to be cut off from the wrest of the protectorate force. now all the wrest of the menoth force was trapped behind its own formation helplessly watching as the force cut off was blown to pieces and devoured by beasts tearing them limb from limb. after the gruesome display the loss of the element of surprise and the entire fresh skorne force reforming its lines to exterminate the wrest of the misguided filth there leader decided to surrender there force into slavery rather then watch the slow process of attrition destroy them. a number of supplies were burned and damaged by raiders some even stolen. .........I killed 11 points of bastions and cavalry before Mason quit. plus 2 for the win so i score 13....Mason killed 3 solos and tiberion at double points scoring 18 points before quitting and letting Kreos submit his troops to the skorne slave camps. I have no doubt it will be the last we see of the protectorate but they will not want to face Xerxes again even by surprise..he killed two cavaly by himself taking 11 damage in the fight. I feel no pitty for menoths force.....there tracks indicate they are heading into troll controlled territory. no doubt in search of the artifact that was uncovered in Mekedas skirmish with mulg. being that Mason Whitlark may now be the point leader with his loss gaining 18 points from skorne supply lines...and the troll controlled territory Justin Rutledge being the next menoth objective the ensuing battle is huge..huge stakes for both forces. menoth scoring double this week look for other forces to run away quick as soon as things go bad. menoth gambles much and its cost them kreos and a number of new skorne slaves ...well see how they fare gambling against trolls. week 3 i scored 13 and won....Mason scored 18 and lost by concession delivering his troops into slavery to try to get to the artifact rumored to be in troll territory. Xerxes successfully defended the lives of his troops in this surprise assault.
