So, what a day! I was crazy busy at work today, as I am trying to get ahead of the game and finish projects before I go on maternity leave. I left work for a lunch time concert to see OK GO at the Sun King studios thanks to my awesome work! Just a side note! I worked really hard for many years raising kids, moving, working and going to school to get this great pay off! I love my job and I have a fantastic boss. With that said it was amazing watching them perform. I geeked out on them and reminded them of a time 10 or more years ago when I saw them open for They Might Be Giants! They agreed that was a life time ago and posed for a picture with me for Alex Spicers baby book! They were supper nice and I then told I said you would be big someday! I continued to give a play by play to Dave through text. I wish he could have been there! I then got lost on the way back to work which lead me to see my first car fire on the side of the road! Smells Bad! I then got back to work and made a co-workers day! Tried to finish more stuff! Then raced home to take Cherilynn to Soccer practice. Set in the sun watched her have fun and play till we were leaving and she decided to tell some bad news. Miss. Cherilynn has been looking forward for years to being apart of the 5th graders who do the morning announcements via the TVs in each class room. She was crying and I tried to calm her down and speak positively to her about not giving up. She even put a call in to her daddy. We get home, she starts up my computer and types up a letter without any instruction from me that ask why she was passed up on this opportunity. this letter was very professional. I have never been more proud of her right now and I guess I am doing something right.
